Fall is settling in. We had a nice extended summer but now the forecast does not see any 80 degree weather in the foreseeable future. Ah well, fall is nice. I really like it a lot. It is cool but with warm colors. The leaves change and fall and crunch all around. And the last camp fires are burned.
Hi there, sunshine!
So, for our last camp fire we made another trip to the Maxey Cabin up in Hyalite. This place is quickly becoming a favorite spot.
Can you blame us? As my lovely daughter would say, "Isn't it be-uuutiful."
And really very cool inside. Here is where we chopped the veggies for dinner.
But mostly hide and seek, playing in the stream, and hiding from the bears happened. These are all very good pre-dinner and pre-campfire events. And it is also true that counting aloud and trying to cover your eyes the entire 10 seconds can be a bit difficult.
We did get the camp fire going, although I don't have a photo of it. And we all felt the last bit of summer's warmth as we sat around the fire. It seems to me that the best preparation for fall is a really great summer.
We are ready.
